Product description BEADBUSTER APPLICATION GUIDE BeadBuster XB-550i HD Compatible Wheels The BeadBuster XB-550i HD is a 2024 updated design of our prior large frame bead breakers (the XB-550 HD and XB-554 PRO). The new design updates include: Premium Investment Casting Single Piece Construction previously welded assemblies Made from hardened 4140 Chrome-Moly Steel previously mild steel Custom Grade-8 Drive Flange Head Bolts with crowned tips previously Grade-5 Bolts Double female ram thread length (1.5″) previously 0.75" These improvements address weld and thread stripping failures that some customers experienced with the legacy design. The XB-550i bead breaker is the big brother of the XB-450i. The operating principle is the same, but the XB-550i is bigger in every way. Heavier steel, thicker walls, more extension; the XB-550i is designed to handle the BIG tires that you’ll find on agricultural and industrial OTR wheels, large trucks, military vehicles, etc...any LARGE 1-piece wheel. However, we created a PATENTED Dual Sided Ram Foot can accommodate a large range of rim lip sizes, and it will still work on ATV/UTV (9" and bigger). There are 4 different foot length configurations, so that you can get the feet as close to the Bead Seat as possible without touching the Bead Retainer, but still get good purchase on top of the Bead Bundle.
