Review snippets: It did seem that someone had worn the boots I received before I got them. Much of the packaging was gone out of the box and there seemed to be a slight scuff on the back of one of the / I bought the 8-1/2 wide in brown which is my usual size. Very comfortable and great looking. Note that there were what looked like small scuffs on both heel seams, or possibly manufacturer flaws, which I fixed in a minute
