I was initially a little concerned that with no back strap the pillow would be constantly sliding away from me or that my baby would wiggle it away and fall between. Not the case at all. You really won't believe how heavy this thing is until it arrives but trust there will be no sliding issues. The pillow is still soft and comfy for baby though. The cover is also nice and soft and is easy enough to remove for cleaning. Because this didn't have the back strap and looked a bit smaller than my other feeding pillow I ordered it to keep in my trunk supplies for when we are away from home. No more stealing bed pillows to feed the baby when we're at grandma's house! But it's also good sized to use in the car when needed also. I fed my baby in the car with this over the weekend and we were perfectly comfortable. I honestly didn't expect to like it so much but I might like it better than my everyday home pillow! I won't switch them because this one is more portable but if I had to recommend a pillow to someone that didn't have one, I'd say get this one and just get two if you want a travel pillow like I did.
