Review snippets: We've gone through a number of these mattress covers. They protect the mattress effectively, but the vinyl always seems to rip pretty quickly. Still, they get the job done and are not too expensive, so we just buy new ones / Out of package it does have an odor but it's gone within a day. I just hung it outdoors to air breathe. It's fits nicely and stays put. My son occasionally wets the bed and this has saved the mattress!
