Review snippets: I purchased this tripod for a cheap spotting scope I recently purchased (the one it came with was unusable) - this made the scope go from hard to use to very impressive. I almost bought another tripod but very glad / Got this today, am not disappointed. This tripod is is mostly aluminum, legs and head are aluminum but there are threaded steel head adjusters with plastic handles, steel inserts for those head adjusters, aluminum pins to hold the legs and
