From the manufacturer The Final Step in Floor Protection The Platinum Series floor mat provides the final step in protecting your floors from wear and tear with very high dirt and water retention capabilities. The Platinum Series is an industrial grade mat - it is durable, long-lasting, and can be used indoors or outdoors. The Platinum Series has a "gripper" backing with thousands of tiny rubber stubs to hold the mat in place on nearly any surface. The durable nitrile rubber construction of the backing and stubs is purpose-made for industrial and commercial applications and can be used in the harshest of conditions. The thick rubber backing and border of the Platinum Series mat creates a smooth, safe transition from floor to carpet - preventing trips and falls. The solid and durable construction also prevents the mat from becoming deformed or wavy over time. The solution dyed nylon carpet of the Platinum Series is plush enough to wick up and hold water but durable enough to endure the constant scraping of shoes. The carpet is pressed into solid rubber to create a high quality, extremely durable, and long lasting floor mat.
