The filtration system is composed of a carbon cylinder derived from organic coconut shell compounds. It is riddled with millions of micro-pores that keep hydrophobic particles like lead, zinc, asbestos, hydrogen sulfide, or chlorine out of your drinking water. It allows beneficial hydrophilic particles, those sometimes found in water like Calcium or Sodium, into your glass. Between the two of these filters, you can rest assured that your family will enjoy improved health for up to a year. Review snippets: What I like about this product is that is was on sale!!!! I got two for the price of one. Anyone that uses this filter in lieu of buying the brand knows one of these will cost you $50 and / These filters fit my LG refrigerator like the factory one. Water takes good and everything works as stated. Nice to have a two pack - I don't get caught without a replacement. Read more
