Review snippets: Right out of the packaging these do have a weird chemical smell but that dissipated fairly quickly. They also don't lay perfectly flat but I threw a couple books on mine for a couple days and then it stayed perfectly / I got tired of washing the rugs in my kitchen so I was looking for a new solution. I know that there are expensive mats out there but these worked for me. Easy to vacuum and easy to wipe off.
