From visual inspection, there appears to be a commitment in design to keep this jacket waterproof. Would have liked the hood to be lined with fleece / It looks too big, but actually fits perfectly. The quality appears great! The stitches look good, the material appears to be just as good as a $200 shell. I love it! Only time will tell if it will hold up
