If you get your nose up close to the surface of the salt in the container, you will notice a slight odor, but it's not unpleasant at all. Large beautiful white flakes. I've been watching a chef that uses this type of finishing salt on a lot of his dishes and was intrigued. It definitely has visual appeal. I think I would like this on soft pretzels. So often the salt on them is way too much, but it has that visual appeal. This would give that same visual appearance yet not be too salty. I will buy from this seller again! Great product.
