It’s pretty great for that purpose and I’d hoped to use it for many more years but the paint on the seat started to flake within a year and makes the seat look like it’s dirty. It’s our guest bathroom and the seat just looks gross, no matter how much we clean it. Now, November 2025, we need to replace the toilet and won’t be using this lid anymore. "body": "This toilet seat has a lot of potential but falls short in a few key areas. Installation was frustrating due to the poor quality of the plastic mounting screws. One screw was completely crooked, so we had to reuse a screw from our old toilet seat. The child seat attachment is not well-designed and occasionally detaches when flipped down, which can be inconvenient. While the adult seat feels sturdy and durable, the child seat is relatively flimsy but sufficient for a child’s weight and size. The whole seat is just slightly too large for our toilet, but it is a negligible issue. On the plus side, the magnet that holds the child seat in place when not in use works very well. The easy-clean clips are another issue—they’re extremely hard to open. However, once you manage to open them, the seat slides off easily for cleaning. Despite its flaws, this seat still works well for our needs. While the design could use some improvements, it’s a product we still enjoy using overall. Read more",
