It performs especially well on hardwood floors, / LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this vacuum!! For a person living with chronic pain (multiple back surgeries etc.) vacuuming is no longer uncomfortable! This vacuum is lightweight (not sure why some reviews state it is heavy), great size, and easy to use
