Moll Flanders

MOLL FLANDERS - Blu-ray - Robin Wright shines as the strong-willed heroine of 18th-century England in this adaptation of Daniel Defoe's classic novel. After an abusive orphanage upbringing, the adult Moll would find life no better as a prostitute exploited by cynical Mrs. Allworthy (Stockard Channing). The sympathies of the madam's henchman Hibble (Morgan Freeman) and the love of tortured painter Jonathan (John Lynch) may not prove enough to rid her of Allworthy's grasp. Brenda Fricker, Geraldine James co-star. 123 minutes SANDPIPER PICTURES
