Review snippets: Have owned this pen for at least 20 years, and I actually think it's been longer than that. It has perfomed *flawlessly,* with the exception of ME breaking a part. I looked into how to get MB to repair it, / I've owned this pen for five years and like the way it feels. The problem is the lower black plastic piece. The gold plating tarnished within a year and the barrel cracked a few years later. Montblanc will not sell
