Night vision goggles just seem like something out of a movie but you can have the capability too! I'm not able to go camping as often as I would like but it doesn't mean I'm not always looking at products that might make my next trip that much better. The way the AILNJUC Night Vision Goggles works is that it is equipped with a 1080p camera with IR capabilities and a small screen, packaged in a goggle shape. What I love is that in the box, a lot of accessories are included. You'll get a head strap for hands-free operation, a shoulder strap to use the goggles like a pair of binoculars and a magnetic clip for mounting on a helmet. In addition, even the memory card is included in the box. When I ordered these goggles, I expected something like a pair of binoculars, but it isn't that at all. Instead of viewing through two eyepieces, there is a single screen so that your eyes are focused on the same spot on the screen. I actually prefer this because I never liked viewing through binoculars. I could never seem to get the eye pieces to line up. With a single camera and screen, these goggles are comfortable to view through in daylight (color) or in the dark (greyscale). So one of the protrusions at the front of the goggles is the camera and the other is an IR light. You can adjust the brightness of that light for your needs. I found it to be pretty effective. The additional ability to record video or take pictures, I'm able to use these goggles to watch birds and take pictures of them. Unfortunately, there is no image stabilization, which means that the video can be a bit shaky and the images can be blurry if you aren't holding very still. Over the years, I have purchased and used NVG, handheld night vision monoculars and other devices, but this one is head and shoulders better than any other other than true military issue. It of course is civilian designed and lacking some refinements, but is absolutely great for normal use. The only drawback is the right lense shows IR "red" at night which does give one away if using for surveillance of tresspassers or watching for other "sentient wildlife". The black-and-white image constantly goes out of focus, making it nearly unusable. The controls are clunky, and the zoom is difficult to operate. To make matters worse, the night vision's limited range is ineffective for most practical purposes. It of course is civilian designed and lacking some refinements, but is absolutely great for normal use. The only drawback is the right lense shows IR \"red\" at night which does give one away if using for surveillance of tresspassers or watching for other \"sentient wildlife\".
