From the manufacturer Healthy Growth and Development Give your puppy the nutritional building blocks needed for healthy growth and development with Pro Plan puppy formulas. Dry formulas feature targeted nutrition and real meat, poultry, or salmon as the #1 ingredient. Wet formulas offer high-quality nutrition and the tastes and textures puppies love. When should I stop feeding a puppy formula? This transition is dictated by breed size. In general, however, expect to make the transition between one and two years of age. Talk with your veterinarian to determine the right time to make the switch for your dog. How do I transition a puppy from mother's milk to solid food? First, you can start to wean a puppy around 3-4 weeks with mousse. Keep available at all times and allow you puppy to eat at will until fully weaned (6-8 weeks). After weaning, Pro Plan can be fed moistened or dry. How much should I feed my puppy? The amount of food your puppy needs depends on how much he’ll weigh at maturity. The larger the dog will be as an adult, the more food they need as a puppy. See the feeding chart on the back of your Pro Plan bag for a detailed breakdown. What types of puppy formulas does Pro Plan offer? Not every puppy has the exact same nutritional needs. That’s why Pro Plan offers a variety of research-backed options for your puppy, including Sensitive Skin & Stomach, Sport, Small Breed, and Large Breed formulas.
