- Directions
- Remove all invertebrates from the tank as well as any chemical filtration. Use 5 mL (1 capful) of ParaGuard for every 40 L (10 US gallons). Repeat this dose daily as required as long as fish show no stress. ParaGuard can also be used as a medicated dip. For 1 hour dips, use 3 mL per 4 L (1 US gallon) in a container separate from your main tank. Dips may be extended if the fish show no evidence of stress. Keep in mind that many diseases linger in the water as well as on the fish. Giving a fish a dip treatment does no good if they go right back into infected water. Quarantine times vary, but we generally recommend 2 weeks of treatment with ParaGuard to clear out any possible external infections.

ParaGuard is the only fish and filter safe aldehyde based (10% by weight) parasite control product available. Unlike highly toxic and difficult to use formalin based medications, ParaGuard contains no formaldehyde or methanol and will not alter pH. ParaGuard employs a proprietary, synergistic blend of aldehydes, malachite green, and fish protective polymers that effectively and efficiently eradicates many ectoparasites on fish (e.g. ich, etc.) and external fungal/bacterial/viral lesions (e.g., fin rot). It is particularly useful in hospital and receiving tanks for new fish and whenever new fish are introduced to a community tank. For use in freshwater or marine. ParaGuard is recommended for the treatment of certain diseases in marine and freshwater fish only. It IS NOT recommended for treating any style aquarium containing invertebrates, corals, crustaceans, or elasmobranchs (sharks and rays). Review snippets: Fixes everything. Big Angel, Gown Golden Ram, Misc Corries, and a rainbow blah, which is annoying to everyone else, and a big bristlenose pleco in a 55. Tank has been running forever with no issues. There's not enough fish to / I have to say Seachem products for me have been very reliable, I've used their ferts line such as Flourish, Iron, and Potassium and their Seachem Matrix product. I really wish I had purchased this sooner to use on my
