"body": "\"Taoist Feces Exercise\" was recommended to me due to my interest in yoga for improved athletic performance. Seriously. With a title like that, how could I not buy it? It was everything I had hoped for and more. Starring 90 year old Xuan Tongzi, and featuring his \"Health Preserving Way,\" it is in Mandarin Chinese with intermittent English subtitles. It has exceptionally low production values, generally Xuan doing his exercises in front of a green screen on which is presented mountains, lightning, free flowing streams, and other imagery cleverly symbolic of the human waste elimination cycle. The production lasts about an hour, and while there is a lot of narration, relatively little of it makes it into the subtitles, and when it does the translations can be interesting and entertaining in a way they were definitely not intended to be. Some of the exercises (or \"skills\") make sense (e.g. the \"abdomen kneading skill\" and possibly the \"kidney reinforcing skill\") while others require faith in the system that you aren't wasting your time (e.g. the \"face washing skill\" and the \"sky-shaking drum,\" which involves tapping the back of your head with your fingers...and don't even get me started on the extensive ear rubbing and teeth grinding skills required.) While Xuan Tongzi certainly is old and appears to be in excellent health (I do not doubt his regularity claims, nor do I desire evidence of said claims) I am not sure that enough of his system is comprehensible to English speakers to be of more use than the typical western dose of Metamucil, though his methods are doubtlessly more relaxing (but will take a sizeable chunk of time out of your morning.) While I'm still a bit skeptical, I think there's a chance this could work if you have the patience and you have a backed up colon. It makes a great gift, too! Read more",

"body": "I cannot praise this video enough. For years I struggled with my feces production. At times my stool as too soft and too frequent. Then it would be too solid and would not happen for days. Then, one glorious day, I happened upon a copy of this video that someone had discarded in the bathroom of a truck stop on I-15 where I found myself sequestered for hours. At first I was skeptical. How could someone look so calm and centered during such a, what had been for me, difficult and emotional process. I carefully washed off the DVD and case (It was a movie about pooping that I found in a truck stop after all) and took it home. I was amazed at the results; within days of implementing the two and a half hour exercise routine I found my stool flowing regularly and without complaint. The rancid and embarrassing odors that once emanated from me have all but stopped and I have found new joys now that don't have to limit my travels to locations with clean bathrooms. I don't want to give away too many techniques or secrets, but the pictures on the case do give some hints. On the front he is demonstrating the best technique for using the traditional oriental \"squatty potty\". I obviously, don't have one of those in my boring American bathroom, but I have found the technique useful when I find myself in obviously contaminated public restrooms. He even has techniques to shape the stools so it enters the water with little to no splash. AMAZING! The picture on the back is unbelievable until you watch the video. He actually has learned to levitate above the toilet to have a totally germ free and comfortable movement. I'm not to that level yet, but can only hope. I hear that there is another video that was released for a short time in China. The rumor is that it actually teaches you techniques to never have to use toilet paper because your stool is so self contained that it comes out clean. Think of the money your family would save. I hear the reason that it was not released in the US and was pulled in China because there was another section on dieting and exercises that allowed you to have just one soft and odorless stool a month. That would be great, but apparently a whole Chinese village without adequate plumbing was forced to try it. When not followed EXACTLY it can lead to things like bowel rupture, internal bleeding, and death. I'm sorry for their loss, but appreciative that the information was not released to the world first... devastating. Once again, I cannot thank Mr. Xuan enough for his experience and hope that others can benefit from it too. Read more",
