Tapo is compatible with Alexa, so when there’s a notification on a camera Alexa can announce it. The app is straight forward and easy to use. You can take Live Photos and Videos through the app. The pan/tilt range is amazing and I like that you can put the cam in privacy mode. You can set different areas to alert you when there is specific activity going on (person detection, pet detection, motion tracking, vehicle detection) these features are great. There’s also an alarm that can be set to go off when someone is in your motion detection zone. The picture quality is comparable to higher priced cameras if not better. I have tried other brands and I am truly impressed and completely satisfied with Tapo products. Con’s: The only con I have is that I didn’t find out about these sooner. The TP-Link Tapo camera works great as a pet camera and it’s an excellent value for the price. This camera was super easy to set up and has all the features I need to check in on my pets when I am sat work or away from home. Picture quality is good and the field of vision adequate, and with the panning feature it is easy to look into different areas of a room. You can pan side to side at least 180 degrees as well as up and down to a certain degree. The camera plus into a wall outlet so there is no concern over battery life. I have another security camera that I use in another area of the house that is rechargeable which is great for an area that isn’t close to a power outlet but you always have to worry about battery life and recharging. No concern with this one. As with other security camera you can set up alerts for motion and it has other features. One feature I like is being able to use a SD card to store pictures and videos rather than use a cloud account although you still have that option for a price. Picture quality is good, the only issue I’ve experienced is when the camera is pointed to a window which makes the picture much darker trying to adjust to the bright light. Tapo is compatible with Alexa, so when there’s a notification on a camera Alexa can announce it. The app is straight forward and easy to use. You can take Live Photos and Videos through the app. The pan/tilt range is amazing and I like that you can put the cam in privacy mode. You can set different areas to alert you when there is specific activity going on (person detection, pet detection, motion tracking, vehicle detection) these features are great. There’s also an alarm that can be set to go off when someone is in your motion detection zone. The picture quality is comparable to higher priced cameras if not better. I have tried other brands and I am truly impressed and completely satisfied with Tapo products. Con’s: The only con I have is that I didn’t find out about these sooner. I highly recommend Tapos line of cameras. I am a satisfied customer. Read more",

        "body": "The TP-Link Tapo camera works great as a pet camera and it’s an excellent value for the price. This camera was super easy to set up and has all the features I need to check in on my pets when I am sat work or away from home. Picture quality is good and the field of vision adequate, and with the panning feature it is easy to look into different areas of a room. You can pan side to side at least 180 degrees as well as up and down to a certain degree. The camera plus into a wall outlet so there is no concern over battery life. I have another security camera that I use in another area of the house that is rechargeable which is great for an area that isn’t close to a power outlet but you always have to worry about battery life and recharging. No concern with this one. As with other security camera you can set up alerts for motion and it has other features. One feature I like is being able to use a SD card to store pictures and videos rather than use a cloud account although you still have that option for a price. Picture quality is good, the only issue I’ve experienced is when the camera is pointed to a window which makes the picture much darker trying to adjust to the bright light. Other than that it’s worked great for me. Read more",

I was suprised when I realized the app, still open about 15 miles away, was still operable as if I was still in my house. I used this so I could be more on point with helping my mom, who had become diagnosed with an illness and her bedroom was located at the other end of the house. She easily could call out my name, the monitor would alert my phone or earbud. So ideal for my need. Took me a minute to get connected to my wifi initially, after and ongoing there was never connectivity issues. I had always plug in the unit and set atop a dresser. Easily, I had a view of the entire room, easy to use the directional arrows and the clarity was so good, even at night. .
