While stretchy, the pants run a little tight in the tummy, and maybe a bit small in general. We had / Follow suggestions in comment to get correct size. My daughter fits most 7 or 7-8 clothes but size 8 in slim fitting or small pants. We thought a size 8 in these pants and they fit perfectly. We both love
