We had previously tried Phillips advent bottles and Nuk that advertised for newborns but she would choke on the milk and start coughing really badly. We haven’t had that issue with the Tommy tippy bottles. The nipple is a super slow flow so she can take her time and not choke. It took her a minute to figure out how to drink from the bottle because she has been exclusively breast-fed, but she figured it out fairly quickly. Depending on your baby, it might cause a little bit of nipple confusion, but I just had to help her get a good latch again. She is two months now and we are still mostly breast-feeding but these bottles were great for when I need to leave her with my parents or my husband‘s parents!
