[Dual STARVIS 2 Sensors] A229 Ultra 4K dash cam equipped with two next-generation STARVIS 2 sensors, the A229 Ultra delivers a major leap in image performance. Compared to the first-generation STARVIS, it offers a wider dynamic range, superior low-light clarity, and significantly reduced noise and motion blur—capturing crisp, detailed video from every angle, day or night.
[Dual 4K HDR] The combination of dual 4K resolution and advanced HDR technology, powered by STARVIS 2 sensors, optimizes recording across all channels. This perfectly balances extreme light and dark conditions, capturing footage with exceptional clarity and sharp detail. Most importantly, it significantly enhances the readability of critical details such as license plates, even in challenging lighting or at high speeds.
[Ultra Fast 5GHz Wi-Fi & GPS-Tracking] An upgraded 5GHz Wi-Fi connection module is built in A229 Ultra 4K dash cam to provide much faster Wi-Fi data transfer process, ensuring smooth video previewing, downloading and sharing. A229 Ultra car camera supports 4 satellite positioning systems (GPS, BEIDOU, GALILEO, and GLONASS), greatly improving positioning accuracy and stability. It provides detailed location, speed, and time data of the vehicle when playing back the video on VIOFO App or computer.
[Smart Voice Control & Notification] A229 Ultra dash cam front and rear features an advanced voice control function, making it easier to start recording, take photos, and turn on / off Wi-Fi with simple voice commands in multiple languages. A229 Ultra 4K Dash Cam also notifies you of settings changes or memory card errors, helping you stay focused on driving for a safer experience.
[24/7 Parking Mode] Advanced parking mode offers three options: Time Lapse saves power and storage with customizable frame rates and enhanced night vision for clearer low-light footage; Low Bitrate continuously captures video in compact file sizes; and Auto Event Detection uses a buffered function to automatically record movements, saving footage from 15s before to 30s after any incident.（Parking Mode can be activated using the HK4/HK6 Hardwire cable（*Hardwire Cable Not included).）
[Supports CPL Filter & Bluetooth Remote (Optional) ] Reduce reflections and glare with an optional CPL filter for improved clarity and contrast on both front and rear cameras. The Bluetooth remote allows easy operation while driving: press the center button to instantly lock the current video, or customize the side buttons for quick access to other functions. (*Note: Rear CPL filter and remote are sold separately.)

Review snippets: Great dash cam, I installed it myself (not hardwired) but I do plan to eventually hardwire it. Saves recordings instantly when needed. Have had it less than a year but working as expected. Excited to see how it holds up / At the time I'm writing this review I'm the only one who actually paid for this camera, so hopefully you can trust my opinion. :) After a great deal of research, I settled on the VIOFO A229 Pro as my
