"title": "5.0 out of 5 stars Very Strong Holding Power!",
"body": "I purchased three of these in 2017; one 6.7” wide, one 10.2” wide and one 20.5 “wide. I installed them on our smooth surface fiberglass tub surround. They are amazing. The large shelf holds four quart size bottles of my wife’s hair care products. My wife leaves them on the shelf when she uses the pump dispenser on the bottles which puts more force on the shelf. After about 18 months, one of the shelves came loose. I reinstalled it with the supplied vacuum pump and it was sturdy as before. I now have it marked on my calendar to use the vacuum pump on all the shelves once a year. We have well water and a water softener. The water contains a trace of salt. After three years the shelves started to show signs of rust. I removed them and painted them with silver spray paint. I then sprayed them with Rustoleum Clear Automotive Wheel Coating. They don’t have the shiny finish, but still look good. In retrospect, I wish I had sprayed them with the wheel coating when they were new. If you have a smooth surface, these will work great. Discover beautiful bath and comfortable household ideas. We hope you enjoy and be inspired! WENKO Vacuum-Loc - strong hold with vacuum force Easily attach bathroom and kitchen accessories on air impermeable and uneven surfaces Are you an enthusiastic fan of problem-oriented, innovative solutions? Then the Vacuum-Loc system from WENKO will convince you. The unique, patented vacuum system enables the fast and reliable attachment of your kitchen and bathroom accessories without drilling. Thanks to the vacuum generated, the mounting system establishes an extremely firm hold on air-impermeable and slightly uneven surfaces by means of suction. Ideal for the reliable and permanent attachment of wall racks and much more. No drilling, no gluing: The vacuum system proves to be an ingenious problem solver, because troublesome drilling is no longer required. The Loc adapters are simply fixed by vacuum power using the enclosed pump. With a tensile force of up to 73 lb, the Vacuum-Loc systems are designed for the highest demands with a strong hold. In addition, the Vacuum-Loc system is characterized by a high level of flexibility: The Locs can be repositioned as often as you like, and do jot leave any residues on walls and tiles when removed. 1. Cleaning the adhesive surface The selected surface must first be cleaned with a clean, damp cloth. Here it is important that the subsurface is completely dry and above all free from grease when mounting. Therefore, bathroom or household cleaning agents should not be used for pre-cleaning. For best results, clean the mounting area with cleaning alcohol. 2. Fixing the vacuum adapter To attach to the desired surface, simply remove the cap on the front and the protective film of the back of the vacuum adapter. Please ensure that the small arrow is pointing down vertically (in the case of the towel rail, both arrows must point horizontally inwards). 3. Generating a vacuum Press the pump against the Loc and pull out the pump piston until a loud plop is heard. Remove the pump from the Loc, attach the pump piston again and repeat the procedure 3 times. Secure fixing works so easily with the Vacuum suction system from WENKO. 4. Can be immediately subjected to loads After the fourth time of applying the pump piston, the adapter can be immediately subjected to loads and the desired accessory can be hung on. To disassemble, simply press sideways on the valve, thus releasing the vacuum."
